UHC Forward: Towards Universal Health Coverage

Biodun Awosusi is a highly motivated medical doctor, health system consultant and universal health coverage advocate. He holds a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery with distinction in Physiological sciences from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria; and certificate in Basics of Health Economics from the World Bank Institute.

Recipient of 2011 Excellence Award by the Association of Resident Doctors of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital and the prestigious 2013 Lagos State Governors Award for exemplary community service, Biodun believes health is a human right and all barriers to health equity must be eliminated in order to improve access to quality healthcare for all. He was a panelist at the Guardian Global Development Professionals Network debate on Financing options for Universal Health Coverage in March 2013. He currently works with Management Sciences for Health.
