Scaling up health insurance and financial protection in health
There has been a blizzard of publications and events recently on scaling up financing for health care and universal access. The objectives of this meeting are to take stock of recent debates on the pros and cons of introducing and expanding health insurance—policy formulation, governance and regulation, financing and institutional development—and lessons learned that can guide the international development community and technical assistance agencies in better supporting their client countries improve access by their population to essential health services.
